Silver Medal for the Durif
Our 2005 Jones The Winemaker Durif won a silver medal at the 2007 Rutherglen Wine Show.  The judges comments were "nice and elegant, black olive, little bit too light, great colour, spicy and lifted. David Sutherland reviewed the 2005 Jones Winery & Vineyard Shiraz

"Full bodied and ripe, sweet, dark pllum and blackberry fruit, this shiraz has lovely balalnce with furry tannins providing a soft finish. With Food: Lamb

RATING **** IN A WORD lush"

The Border Morning Mail. Friday 11th May, 2007

David Sutherland reviewed the 2005 Jones The Winemaker Durif

”Violets, dark fruits and new oak abound on the nose. The alcohol is high but not obvious as the wine’s structure is firm with fine dry tannins providing balance and length. With food red meat and game.

RATING **** IN A WORD great!”
